**Claude Code v2.1.197: Defaults to Sonnet 5 with 1M Context**

Claude Code v2.1.197 has been released, upgrading the default model to Claude Sonnet 5, which features a native 1M-token context window. Anthropic is also offering promotional pricing of $2/$10 per million tokens through August 31.
