**GitHub Moves 99.99999% of Repo Copies to Azure, Scales Reads via Object Storage**

GitHub has moved a copy of 99.99999% of its repositories to Azure. The remainder will follow via per-reference quorums, a mechanism for reaching consistency across replicas.
